Author biography
“Chris”tine O’Riley is an award-winning author who has been writing poetry and stories since age 8 and still has the heart of a little girl. She has been married to her summer romance lifeguard sweetheart, Dick, for 49 years. She is mother to six adult children and grandmother to nine, soon to be eleven.
Chris holds a BA in English cum laude from SUNY Brockport, N.Y. She also holds a Nursing license and is a seasoned RN whose passion has been to care for birthing women and their families for over two decades. In post-retirement, she is honored to practice part-time in a nearby Dermatology & Skin Surgery practice.
Chris is the founder of Pencraft Creative Writers Group in Rochester , N.Y. where she lives with Dick and their feline companion, Jack.
In addition to writing, she is an inspirational speaker and storyteller. She has been a sought after presenter and key note speaker at women’s retreats, conferences, journaling workshops, poetry readings and intimate gatherings.
Chris enjoys grandmothering, The Adirondacks, a good cup of tea, making music, swimming, kayaking, The Beatles, snowshoeing, fireflies, bird watching, taking naps and all things Celtic.
